Built exclusively for the motorcyclists in mind, Garmin’s Zumo 450 includes many of the 550s motorcycle-friendly features including the 3.5” diagonal color touchscreen display. The Zumo 450 comes ready to go right out of the box with full coverage of North America, motorcycle mount with hardware, power cable, USB cable, carrying case and a quick reference guide.
The Zumo 450 is preloaded with highly detailed City Navigator NT maps with complete coverage throughout the entire United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. The database allows the user to search for an address or one of nearly six million points of interest (POI’s) such as restaurants, hotels, ATMS, banks, gas stations and much more. The touchscreen display is glove-friendly making it easy to operate the unit and to plug in the destination of your choice. The Garmin 450 will then guide you to your destination with both verbal and on screen visual directions. If you deviate from the planned route the Zumo will recalculate the route and get you back on track. Whether you are riding highway or cruising the country, you can view your maps in 3D which makes it easy to see what lies ahead of you.
The Garmin Zumo also features an MP3 player that doesn’t require any special software to use. It has a removable lithium-ion battery that can give you up to 3 hours of battery life. In addition, the Zumo 450 has an SD slot for unlimited memory for MapSource Topo, Europe street maps and MP3 files. The Zumo 450 gives the capability to receive live traffic updates as you drive, such as accidents and construction zones using the optional GTM 10, 12, or GTM 20 Traffic receiver.
The Zumo 450 is equipped with a high-sensitivity WAAS receiver, which will acquire and maintain a satellite signal in heavy foliage or in metro areas where skyscrapers are present. Other unique features include a motorcycle console for trip information, which will enable the Zumo to tell you when you’re running low on gas.
